Abstract

This work presents ongoing research linked to the Professional Master's Program in History Teaching at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), which analyzes the actions of women from Sergipe who resisted the civil-military dictatorship, highlighting Ana Maria Santos Rolemberg Côrtes, Zelita Correia, and Laura Ribeiro Marques, whose actions represented a double transgression: against the regime and against gender norms. Given the invisibility of these trajectories in school curricula, the research aims to develop a comic book as a teaching resource, based on the testimonies of these activists recorded by the "Paulo Barbosa de Araújo" State Truth Commission of Sergipe, and apply it in the classroom. Methodologically, it is anchored in Oral History, gender studies, and Historical Education, proposing the comic book as a strategy to overcome stereotypes and gaps in the teaching of this subject. It is expected that this resource will contribute to the appreciation of local memory and to a critical understanding of female resistance, fostering reflection on gender, power, and repression in the context of the dictatorship.
