Abstract
The research's main objective was to analyze the use of educational-pedagogical materials by children in an Early Childhood Education class, made up of 10 boys and 9 girls, aged 4 and 5. Specifically, it sought to analyze which activities and materials sparked children's interests in educational-pedagogical situations organized by the classroom teacher. The methodology used was narrative, with reports of experiences from everyday educational life, using participant observation and records of the observed pedagogical situations as data production instruments. It was noticeable that the use of educational materials to carry out playful activities, such as the use of paints, glue and movable objects, aroused greater interest among the children. Besides that, using one's own body for learning, through movement and interactions with the group and the space, also promoted greater interest among children. Furthermore, the use of literature books by children was done spontaneously, considered a moment of fun, arousing the attention and curiosity of the majority of the group.
