Abstract
This study is being developed within the scope of the Institutional Program of Teaching Initiation Scholarship (PIBID) and understands playing as a fundamental practice in the context of Early Childhood Education. We seek to analyze how social interactions occur in everyday educational life, identifying the most common types of games and how they are initiated and shared among children. This research is narrative, using a qualitative approach and data produced during the months of April to September 2025, through notes made in the form of reports of experiences lived and observed in a room called turma Infantil I - A, composed of fifteen children, members of a Municipal School of Early Childhood Education, in the city of Aracaju, Brazil. The results highlighted the importance of games for the social development of the group, a context that generates curiosity, learning and creativity among children. It was found that playing is essential within the routine, requiring time and space dedicated to interactions that allow children to demonstrate their feelings, emotions and create bonds.
