Abstract
As a preliminary study of a doctoral thesis project, this work constitutes the state of the question of two concepts in Education: pedagogical innovation and active methodologies, investigating how they are understood in academic production. A bibliographic survey was carried out to identify, characterize and define the theoretical-methodological categories of the thesis. For "Pedagogical Innovation", 176 articles and 84 theses were obtained, reduced to 20 articles and 17 relevant theses after applying the exclusion criteria. For "Innovation and Active Methodologies" there were 11 articles and 254 theses, with 5 articles and 17 theses selected. The analysis indicates that the presence of digital technology is often treated as an uncritical synonym for innovation and that there is a strong correlation between active methodologies and digital resources. Confronted with the Critical Pedagogy that underlies the study, the results signal a new sophistication of the pedagogical mystification of computer discourse within the field of Education.
