Abstract
This study stems from a work plan developed in connection with the extension project Letramento na Maturidade at the Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (UEFS). Its objective is to document and share narratives and life stories of older adults participating in the Open University for the Third Age (UATI), promoting social inclusion and valuing the life trajectories of this population. A participatory methodology with a qualitative approach was adopted, involving thematic workshops, recording, and transcription of participants’ speech, analyzed according to the content analysis technique (Bardin, 1977). Preliminary results highlight the strengthening of participants’ identities, the recovery of memories, and the encouragement of the socialization of life experiences. The records and portraits of the older population engaged in the project have been shared on the Narravidas Blog (Araújo, 2025), created to disseminate to both the internal and external UEFS community the productions and narratives emerging from the workshops.
